I called hubby on the way home from work last night, to see if he knew of a great “Eco Friendly” vehicle my Alpha werewolf hero can drive without being emasculated. (Hey, it’s a DARK paranormal, not a RomCom. Can’t have him driving a mini. Hahaha!)
So, hubby says (as though he’s been just DYING for me to ask this particular question. Really, he didn’t even have to think about it.) “He drives a Tesla,” he says. “It’s a super hot sports car. And it’s electric. David Letterman has one.” (Me thinks the hubby wants one too )
So, I’m excited to have this awesome “Eco Friendly” hot ride for my hot Alpha. And I proceed to share my excitement by telling the kidlets about it. “But, Mama,” my 8 year-old tells me. “That’s not really environmentally friendly. Electric cars still use fuel because it takes fuel to make the electricity. He needs to drive a solar powered car if you want him to be really “eco friendly”.”
Yeah….after I pick my jaw up from the ground. I always knew she was articulate. But, sheesh! I tell her, “I understand that, honey, but there really isn’t a cool solar powered car for my very cool hero to drive–”
“Mama! You’re an author. Of fiction. (yes she said it just this way.) You can make up whatever car you need for your story.”
Ummmm… Can’t argue with an 8 year-old. Still, I like the Tesla and so does Matthias. So that’s what he drives. The Model S Signature in dark metallic grey, to be precise.

Those Tesla cars are nice. Tell the kidlet that your hero has solar panels on his house and that’s where he charges up the car. The author is always supposed to know more about the story than she lets on anyway.

ROFL! Now, THAT’S an idea. I’m so going to let her know that.
